This is my Santos copy, based on a guitar which belonged to Andrés Segovia. From what I could tell and thanks to the expertise of Richard Bruné it seems that he built that particular guitar with his famous solera which allows for the back to be glued on first. Following his methods has the obvious advantage of authenticity and probably changes the sound too in a small way.

Colours for a Flamenco Guitar
The classical guitar crowd is very conservative, both builders and players. I think I have only every used natural wood colours on my own rosette designs for classicals. Furthermore I make one design and stick to it until I use up the stock and want to make a new design. The only exceptions are the copies of historic instruments and my flamenco guitar. Lately I have been using an original rosette every time I make a flamenco. This colour combination is not something I will use on a classical unless someone asks for it.
